Oh, hugs, Sweetie! I'm so sorry. She lived a good long life but still much too short.

When Joon moved in here she had never lived with a cat before and there were three and soon to be two more cats living here. The old dog learned to be fine with the experience. As a "roommate" she made her needs known in easy to understand terms. For such a little being, she leaves a large void.

My condolences, Maureen. I know Joonie was a special little person in your life. I wish I had known her "back in the day".

Big hug.

Joonbugg was like another little sister. She was delightful and aggravating at the same time, but always good for a laugh. I will miss her licks, fake snores and huckle-butts.

I am imagining a day in Dog Heaven with Joon and her "cousin" Lucky, the Corgi mix. I know what they are doing. They are eating and eating and eating. Lucky is chowing down chocolate, while Joon is having a Tupperware party. Fortunately, there are no ill effects from their forbidden treats. They will still pass gas, because it was always so much fun. (OK, so dogs can be like Middle School boys). They also take time to chase each other in circles on their rejuvenated little legs, and pester the bigger dogs. Surfer Joon will probably do her Gidget imitation on a styrofoam surfboard, while Lucky naps a safe distance from the water. Yeah, no baths!
Lucky is still a little jealous of Joon because the little bullie got her picture in the Winchester newspaper. But prime rib and ice cream settles them down before a nap.
Joon was a good kisser and always the entertainer. She will be greatly missed.

Dear Maureen,

I knew someone was missing today. I'm sorry I did not know. Poor little dog.
